Bushmills War Memorial

The work on the war memorial is now completed. With the granite die replaced, and the soldier and plaques reinstated.
We attended the re-dedication ceremony on Sunday 18 October.

We are delighted to say that the new build on Layde Road, Cushendall is almost completed.
The Georgian style family home is clad in Creeton hard white sandstone. At the peak of the project we had 8 stonemasons on site, ensuring the work was completed on time and within budget.
We really enjoyed this project and as it is in Cushendall (our home town); we will be able to watch the limestone weather to a beautiful biscuit colour, giving the house a very distinguished character.

Phase 2 of the sandstone restoration of St Columb’s Church is well underway. We have three masons working full time on it.
The general walls of the church are an olive coloured random schist of local origin and buff coloured ashlar sandstone from the Dungiven area.
The stone restoration work entails refacing and repairing all sandstone. All joints will be carefully raked out and repointed with a lime mortar.
